Wines Marzuko - Classical from Sicily

We start by illustrating you the history, the method and the philosophy which inspire the production of our wines. The increasing success of our wines is the result of the competence and great attention of men who are linked to the love for the land and for the taste of good wine.

lericodocbiancoalcamologo.jpg (2353 byte) It is made of Catarratto and of grapes growing in the high hills of Calatafimi in which there are very fertile soils rending to be sandy. After the manual wine-harvesting, grapes are taken into the places of winemaking, in which they are macerated softly at a cold temperature, then they are pressed and fermented. It follows a period of ageing in tanks of stainless steel which are thermo controlled at low temperature at least for five months afterwards the product can be bottled before the bottles are bought, wine ages in the cool cellars at least for three months. So we get a wine of an intense straw colour with light green hues it smells of a pleasant fruity an alcoholic degree of 12%. It is suitable for the hors d'oeuvres and for those dishes based on mussels and fish, but also for all the best Mediterranean recipes. It has to be served cool at a temperature of 9-10°C: Lerico Bianco D'Alcamo

solariobiancologo.jpg (2602 byte) It is prepared with a modern system of winemaking. Because of the spending of months in the bottles, Solario bianco changes its initial taste which becomes more refined. It is made of grapes Inzolia, Chardonnay and Catarratto, which are selectioned in the high hills of Calatafimi and they are cultivated in fields which tend to be sandy. Cultivation system is conter espadier after pruning Guyot and with a yield of wine of 70/80 quintals an hectare. After the wine harvesting, grapes are taken into the winemaking places, in which they have to be pressed softly and they have to be fermented at a controlled temperature in thanks of stainless steel. So you get a yellow wine with soft green iaves; it smells of spring flowers; it has an alcoholic degree of 11,5%. It is good to drink as an aperitif and it can be implied with fish. bagliorossologo.jpg (2329 byte) It is entirely made of grapes Nero d'Avola o Calabrese growing in the high hills of Calatafimi and Vita and Salemi in grounds tending to be argillaceous. Cultivation system is a tree or as counter espalier with a yield of wine of 80/90 quintals an ectare. After having being harvested, grapes are taken into tho places of winemaking, in wich they have been macerated for a long time at a controlled temperature. It follows a period of ageing in tanks of stainless steel which are thermo controlled at low temperature al least for three months then there is a futher ageing of the wine in oak barrels the refinement made in the bottle inside the cool cellar at least for sex months. So you get a red wine which smells of a pleasant fragrance of woody fruits and of oak. Its alcoholic degree is of 13%. It can be implied more specifically for meat and cheese.
